While the full agenda will be released in the next newsletter, we thought we would take this opportunity to highlight a few of the topics that will be covered this year. This conference will detail the many additions to both GOMsmart and ArcGIS this year, particularly the expansion of the decommissioning liablities data and the Global Loader interface to access GOM3 data as well as all of the other data and maps within your company.
Of course, the conference will also look forward to future developments as well. Those highlights will include the first look at some of the work done to move GOM3 to ArcGIS Pro and the first phase of customizable maps in GOMsmart. We will also detail a large bidding history project to analyze and understand: 1) bidding and exploration success by play; 2) bidding efficiency of solo bidders and bidding coalitions; 3) the drivers of money left on table and its minimization; 4) the influence of proximity to infrastructure on bidding and 5) information derived from relinquishments, rejected bids and BOEM’s assessments of lease economics. Finally, guidance on future development is one of the main tenets of the conference, one that we always encourage.
The 11th Annual User Conference will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Statoil's offices in west Houston. Registration is free, though limited, but we will do our best to accommodate those who wish to attend.
