After a long hiatus, the 14th Annual User Conference is coming March 2nd, 2023. The conference will be held at Murphy's offices in west Houston, as Murphy is graciously willing to host again as they were originally scheduled back in 2020. We are excited to be meeting in person again in Houston after so long.
For those of you who are not familiar with the annual conference, this is a great opportunity to connect with us and other GOM3 users. We will recap some of the most recent additions to GOM3, go over future plans and detail some of the new, high-end statistical analyses that have been developed during the hiatus. It is also a time where we are eager for feedback and suggestions - please get your wish list ready.

In preparation for the upcoming lease sale, we are holding a free webinar on the Tie-back Tool. Estimating costs of getting production back to a platform or transit pipeline is one of the key components in calculating the value of a prospect, and how much should be bid based on that valuation. The Tie-back Tool is an excellent addition to get a quick idea of some challenges that may lie ahead.
Using seafloor bathymetry and hazards such as seeps and slumps, the Tie-back Tool calculates an optimal route and returns an extensive report, coordinates, a GIS geodatabase and, if selected, past and forecast production at a chosen platform.
