We would like to announce the next class from TeachMeGIS: Analyzing Petroleum Data in the Gulf of Mexico with GOM3. The class will be held Tuesday, August 2nd, at their Training Center in west Houston. This is a one day, hands-on workshop covering the basics of GOM3 data, ArcGIS software and GOMsmart. More Data Over the Web
Two additions are highlighted this month. First, within GOMsmart, clicking on the Block Info link now includes the history of Lease Sale Availability for the given block (as shown below).
Second, when accessing Well Data Exports (in the ESA Desktop or in ESA Tools of ArcGIS), a new option is available to download Production data divided per completion. This brings the total number of well datasets accessible through this interface to ten.
ArcGIS Version Notes
ArcGIS 10.4.1 is now officially supported for GOM3. All versions from ArcGIS 10.1 to 10.4.1 are supported. However, there is a known ESRI bug when setting the extent of 3-D scenes in versions 10.3 and above; scene extents will need to be reset to the full extent of data.
